The price will be different for each individual customer and will depend on several factors, such as the level of cover you choose, the make and model of your bike, security measures, your age, previous claims history and your location.

You can pay for your insurance annually by credit or debit card, or spread the cost with a monthly Direct Debit.
BMW Motorrad Bike Insurance is arranged by Atlanta Insurance Intermediaries Limited who act as a credit broker. They work exclusively with one lender. If you chose to pay for your premium on a monthly basis, they will provide you with the information you need to get you started.

The easiest way to check whether you're insured to carry pillions (passengers) on your bike is to check your insurance documents.
You can find this information in the section in the Motorcycle Statement of Fact sheet, and this will be available for you to view or download in My Account.
You should also check your licence to ensure that you are entitled to carry passengers.
Many comprehensive and some third party, fire and theft policies will allow you to ride another bike on a third party only basis, but you should always double check.
The easiest way to check whether you're insured to ride someone else's bike is to check your policy documents, which you can find in My Account.
A modification can be any alteration from the manufacturer’s standard specification, including any manufacturer or dealer-fitted option, whether or not performance is altered. It could also include any other changes which could improve value, appearance, performance or handling.
You should tell us about any modification to your bike when you get a quote online, and you will also find out which modifications you don’t need to declare while doing this.

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is usually required before you ride a moped or motorcycle on the road and is therefore needed for insurance. However, there are exemptions, such as riding a moped up to a maximum of 50cc.
If you have declared that your bike will be garaged, your insurer has accepted your insurance on condition that your motorcycle is kept in a locked and secured garage.
Depending on your policy and who you're insured with, if there is a garaging clause on your policy then this applies to the designated garaging or home address and possibly the surrounding area (for example, if the garage is not on your property).

UK motorists entering the EU will not need a Green Card.
